  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

Where would you go if you abandoned the ship that is the USA?
It does seem like Americans grow more and more divided everyday. But I am sure that your average American can find something in common with one another more often than not.

The divide is not between the states, it’s between the extremes of two ideologies. The average citizen of the US does not have the extremist mentality, and they usually prevail. What you see in here, and in the mainstream media is a sensationalistic view.
The way the US government is structured, those extremes are restricted from radical constitutional changes, by forcing those changes to be ratified by the individual states

Which says nothing to the point. Since only a minority of voters are registered to any one party and very few precincts identify the political party of the voter, your article is pointless. Six percent of how many?
Plus, while I for one, consider Biden’s election properly recorded and legitimate, I do not consider our weak election laws and improper monitoring thereof, to be conducive to an unflawed process.

Well, Shooter for one still believes in the ideals of the United States.
He believes we will survive and thrive despite the efforts of our enemies, both foreign and domestic.
He ain't going anywhere, he won't be leaving this "shithole country" as some enemies of the United States like to call it.

No you absolutely do not believe in the ideals of the United States of Almeria nor the Constitution and you prove that everyday here. You cheered and followed Trump all the way to treason against the United States of America and continue to lie and cover up for him now.

And you Trump and treasonous conservative/Republicans drug the United States of America down to the level of a shit hole country where we cold not even have free and fair elections and a peaceful transfer of power for the first time in more than 230 years. You can't be a traitor to the United States of America and then claim to believe in the ideals the country was founded on.

I lived through the late 1960's and the early 1970's. I think the United States was more polarized back then. Back then the United States was divided by real issues. There was the War in Vietnam, Civil Rights, and on how to respond to the rise in crime.

In 1975 the total crime rate per 100,000 inhabitants was 5,298.5. The murder rate per 100,000 inhabitants was 9.6. In 2019 the corresponding numbers were 2,489.3 and 5.0

    https://www.disastercenter.com/crime/uscrime.htm

I do not see any issues that are that divisive now. Back then one could often determine a person's political opinions by the styles of hair and clothing. Nothing like that exists now.

I believe that social and mass media is the cause, and I say that as someone glued to my TV and laptop. Before the internet and television, people were much more insulated from the opinions of others, as they had to be projected verbally. You had to engage in conversations face-to-face in order to give your viewpoint or hear someone else's. But now, with modern media, we're no longer just shouting into the sky and hearing no echo. We are now bombarded with the thoughts and beliefs of strangers, each one invoking some innate reaction in us. We adapt by getting more stubborn in our beliefs and faster at defending them. Society has become a churning ocean of opinions, and we're having to swim harder and harder to keep our heads about the surface. We're also hooked on the gratification of having our opinions validated by others. Our voices can reach so many more people now, and when we get positive responses, we're encouraged to be even louder and prouder.

Millions of Americans fled Democratic-run states and flocked to Republican-run states in 2021, the Census Bureau reported on Tuesday.

Washington, D.C., which is not a state and will never deserve statehood, in 2021 lost almost 3 percent of its population. Idaho, meanwhile, a state that has voted Republican in every presidential election since 1968, saw its population increase by nearly 3 percent.

Not surprisingly, New York experienced the second-largest decline in population (1.6 percent), followed by Illinois (0.9 percent), Hawaii (0.7 percent), and California (0.7 percent), where crime and homelessness are out of control in Democratic-run cities. Much of the population decline in blue states was attributed to domestic migration, with California, New York, and Illinois leading the way.

By contrast, nearly all of the states that boasted a significant increase in population last year were solidly Republican. Utah's population grew by 1.7 percent, as did Montana's. South Carolina grew by 1.2 percent, followed by Texas (1.1 percent), and Florida (1 percent).

It's probably not a coincidence that the states Americans are fleeing have some of the highest tax rates in the country, while the states to which they are flocking have some of the lowest. In other words, a lot of libs are running away from the politicians and the policies they supported. Here's hoping enough of them are smart enough to see the connection and stop voting to ruin everything.

See what happens is those mutton heads leave the state they managed to fuck up, like California, and move to a new state, like Colorado, and right away start fucking it up.

These people moved into the neighborhood from California last year, and right away started yammering about how people were walking their dogs off leash, and parking on the street instead of their drive way, and did you see the God awful shade of brown that guy painted his house and such.

Now, they want to form a homeowners association to, you know, "maintain standards".
    Right.
Course, they are also lobbying to be the President of the homeowners .............. cause, you know, us heathens ain't smart enough to run a proper homeowners association .............
Shooter predicts these assholes will be moving by summer.

Oh, they are not going to get their homeowners association, they aren't going to be dictating to us where we park, how we walk our dogs, or what color we paint our homes.

They are universally disliked. Pretty sure they have the hint now.

Yes I believe that most "ordinary citizens" believe in what this country is supposed to stand for. As long as the majority believe in the rule of law, and our elected leaders, follow the rule of law. The US will remain strong. But its also imperative that our elected leaders, also stay true to their oaths of office.

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

Which is why when the integrity of our elections is questioned and impugned. Things can quickly get out of hand. Jan 6th 2021 being a perfect example. The violent attempt to interfere with a lawful election strikes at the very core of our democracy.

Donald Trump violated his oath of office. Yet millions of people and the entire Republican party still support him. And that is truly scary and alarming.

I have been at personal war against the lie of conservatism as it is preached and practiced in this nation for 40 years and even I never imagined conservative/Republicans would do this. First they shit on and threw away every value they ever claimed to have during Trump's four years, They cannot point to a single value they always said they held that they did not squander for Trump.

That was amazing enough to me to see conservative/Republicans do that for just one man. But then conservative/Republicans gladly followed Trump all the way to treason against the United States of America and became treasonous conservative/Republicans.

And even now treasonous conservative/Republicans continue to try to end democracy in the United States of America and expose the fatal flaw in our Constitution. It is based on the honor system. The founders took great care to try and protect against a want to be dictator. But they simply could not envision an entire political party willing to turn traitors. They just assumed there would always be honorable people that loved America enough to choose country over party or even just one man. They were wrong about that. As Trump and treasonous conservative/Republicans have proven.

The unbalanced election system has allowed for a minority party to control who can be elected. The Republicans represent about 38% of voters, yet they are overwhelmingly elected in the senate. DC needs statehood, as well as PR

I think this thread encapsulates the issue perfectly. Most Americans don't know there's that big of a problem. The more politically active understand the country is tearing apart, correctly seeing that social media is playing the biggest part of it.

You can very clearly see in this thread that the more politically active are living in two different worlds. And based on which one you see as more delusional shows you which side you're on.

No not reality. It is not both sides that reject objective reality. There is only one side doing that and its the treasonous conservative/Republicans. Both opinions are not equally valid when one opinion is based of facts, truth, reason, and logic. And the other opinion is based on fear hate lies and delusions. And in fact whether you know it or not you are actually pushing part of the planned right wing false propaganda that both sides are equally wrong. Which is a blatant lie.

And you are also wrong about it being only those politically active that are concerned with treasonous conservative/Republicans trying to steal democracy in this country and make Trump a dictator. The majority of the country is waking up to the peril our nation faces from those who are attacking the very foundations of America.

This just stick your head in the sand and blame both sides bullshit just won't cut it in the face of treason against the United States of America.

Only stumbler could contemplate wiping his ass with the constitution.

And that he rabidly attacks anyone not in lockstep with his views as America being a "shithole country" speaks volumes about his belief in the first amendment. Sure, you can exercise your free speech rights, just as long as Stumbler approves of your words. If he doesn't you get labeled as a traitor or worse.
