Even when considering that anything LGTB (plus whatever else they've added in the past 10 seconds), especially trans specific being highjacked for political purposes by both sides...it can be a bit too much.
I'm certainly an advocate for being who you are but I think that the genuine people in the sea of noise need to care less about what other people approve of.

I don't like full on beards, too itchy...but clean shaven, I look weird and am not a fan so I usually go with a short trimmed gotee. Seems to fit best

 

I have to be a contrarian on this one. My face is badly scarred from acne as a kid, being kicked in the chin... also as a kid. My full beard, which I've worn basically since I got out of the service covers most of the scarring and gives me a little more confidence in public. While I may be of German heritage somewhere back a century and a half ago, I'm not aware of dueling scars being a 'thing' these days.

 

Well that's understandable though, I would probably feel similar. My mother had a massive mole on her forehead, massive meaning it took up her entire forehead...no joke.
She got it removed before I was even born, but she always brushed her bangs down to cover it because the scar was nasty looking. They didn't know anything about cosmetic surgery in the 50's!

Oh yeah, we've been seeing that crap for decades too, it's sad...but also makes me upset.
I don't even have a graphic t-shirt period, but one with a band I like are extremely difficult to find in my size, specifically the length. For 6'5'', I have super short legs and a long, long torso so the 3XL part is somewhat easy, the T on the end is even harder to find

Would love to say yes, but the answer is no. Grew up in a military family, with a military attitude, and followed that up with four years of my own military service. I learned to cope with things in a military way... which was how the goverment agency I worked for for 28 years after was run. I didn't deal with the VA until they finally tracked me down 30 years later... I thought being pissed off, loud and angry was a normal way of life. You don't ask for help, because you don't even realize you need it... possibly why I didn't go to the hospital for seven hours after my recent heart attack... and I drove myself there anyhow. I kept trying to tell them this couldn't be a heart attack... till they loaded me up in the ambulance. You just don't think it's you they are talking about when your anxious, angry, or in trouble health or otherwise, you know.

 

I get that, my family is much the same and I probably would have joined myself had I not fractured a few vertebra playing football in college. Well we humans lie, and we tend to lie to oursleves the most...that's a freaky wake up call right there, glad you came out okay with some wisdom. My problem with the VA is hopefully old news, it was like 25 years ago so I would hope that it is.

I read an interview with a music producer, can't remember who. He said "I hate Autotune too, but it's the sound of popular music today. It's what the kids expect to hear." He said that he gets some singers to intentionally sing out of tune so he can create those audible Autotune artifacts.

 

That sounds like something Rick Beato said in one of his recent YouTube videos about current music.
