Education ministry personnel deployed to St James High School
ST JAMES, Jamaica — Reports are that personnel from the Ministry of Education’s Regional Office have been deployed to the Montego Bay- based St James High School.
This is in relation to a developing situation at the institution where it has been reported that the gates were found padlocked this morning.
It’s uncertain what has led to this development, but a source said it seems to be spilling over from what has been happening at the school in recent weeks.
There has been open discord between the school’s principal, Joseph Williams, and board chairman, Christopher McCurdy, which most recently led to a standoff between both parties.
Efforts by Online Observer to contact Williams were unsuccessful, as we were told that he was unable to speak at this time.
