  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Though cannabis has been proven to have many medicinal features, this should frost some peoples balls... Personally, I agree with the ruling. She injured her back on the job and if marijuana helps reduce her pain without taking harmful opiate pain killers, it should be provided to her as her doctor prescribed.

New Mexico Court Rules Employers Must Pay for Employees Medical Cannabis Use While on Injury Leave

The New Mexico Court of Appeals has ruled that medical cannabis patients who are injured on the job must be reimbursed by an employer for the expense of cannabis used in the treatment of their injury.

In the court’s ruling, Judge James Wechsler wrote that a workers’ compensation judge was correct in ruling that American General Media had to reimburse Sandra Lewis of Albuquerque for the cannabis she used while on leave from a work-related injury. American General Media is the owning group of several New Mexico radio stations.

In New Mexico it is legal for compassionate medical use, they classified it as a medical product so it is legal for their reasons.

I thought this story was interesting because even though we need to go much further for marijuana reform, this would have been unheard of 20 years ago. We've come a long ways since then and it's largely because of the internet. There's been a lot of education coming through and the times are truly changing. If not fast enough..

This in no way surprises me, we are fast becoming the most idiotically permissive society on earth.

Considering marijuana is non addictive unlike opiates, this could be considered a good thing.

Too many people get hurt and a Doctor over prescribes opiate pain medication and people become addicted to these drugs.

I have an 81 year old Aunt that is addicted to Vicodin.....

Drugs should be legal. You own your own body and without question you should be allowed put what you like in it as long as you are not endangering someone else, i.e. driving whilst drunk, or leaving used needles around for a baby to play with.

Also if you were injured at work, and you were not to blame, you should be entitled to compensation.

Quite simple really. Personally, I think compensation should come in a cash lump sum, then the employee can spend it how they wish.

So that the employee can go on Medicare/Medicaid after he blows the lump sum on drugs?

Do you oppose this because of it being marijuana or some cannabis product? Because in this case, it seem to be prescribed for the same reason an opiate would, pain relief..

Now considering how addictive and dangerous opiates are, not to mention the fact that pharmaceutical companies must import raw opiates in the form of poppies often grow illegally in other countries, wouldn't it be wise to consider marijuana or cannabis as a safer domestic alternative?

What does that have to do with what I was replying to?

But, even better question, does marijuana provide the same medical benefits or pain control that the opiate derived drugs do?

My apologies if I was wrong, but I thought you were against the employers insurance being ordered to pay for the marijuana in this case.

I really don't know. I don't have any real experience with either one, nor have I read any information with regards to this.

However, I have read from credible sources that marijuana and cannabis products are not physically addictive and are safer than opiates...
