Mmmmmmm in a huge fan of salmon any kind of water animal really....but not labrador. ha! Wait isn't there an east indian dish called labrador?
I had a very big crown of raw broccoli with chunky blue cheese dressing to dip it in and munch during the news then forgot to eat something else. The news stresses me out but I suffer FOMO if I miss it. SMH

The 2 friends who died were extremely healthy. This stuff doesn't care if you are healthy, young, old, race, religion, nothing matters. Most who get it survive, many not knowing they had it. The after effects can be life altering. Especially heart, lung, liver, kidney and neurological problems.

Don't play it down. The country has almost 300,000 dead.

Tonight I roasted some red bell peppers. Very easy to do, and it's something you'll never find in a jar. I can't post pictures, so let me explain.

If you have a gas stove, just place the peppers on the stove top jets on a medium low flame. You want to constantly turn the peppers while they cook, to get them charred and blistered on all sides. You can also place them under the broiler, making sure to turn them. Now you place the peppers in a paper bag or a tight closing container for 10 or so minutes to steam, I prefer using a paper bag.

That 10 minutes of steaming makes it easy for you to pull the charred and blistered skin from the peppers. Little pieces of charring is a plus, for me. Now slice the pepper in half making sure to discard the stem. Now with the edge of your knife scrape out the seeds, not a big deal if you don't get them all. Slice the peppers in long strips, not to thin and not to thick. Place them into a bowl, toss with evoo and a good amount of finely chopped garlic. It's best enjoyed at room temperature.

I had my peppers with a few slices of Asiago cheese, red grapes, with a bold Tuscan DOCG Chianti

That's exactly how we prepare Hatch Chili's. The wife roasts them under the broiler, then covers them to steam for 15-20 minutes and then the skin slides right off and you have this tender, tasty pepper! Love it!
Never tried that with bell peppers though. It sounds pretty damned good!
