If you can't get off to a tailor-made story, nobody else will either, so rewrite or eliminate parts where your johnson loses interest.

Besides that I lack what you so kindly call your "Johnson", I would generally agree that this is a good test for your own material. Do this when polishing text. However, under no circumstances do this whilst proof-reading. You will miss everything.

 

Very good analysis of the process. I have published three stories and written a draft of a 4th. First time I tried writing it was an abysmal failure. The reason? I sat trying to make up a story and make it hot without a thought of where it was going. Instead I lie in bed at night or sit quietly thinking of hot scenarios I would love to see happen in real life or in porn. then go through the story and how it plays out in my head over the course of a couple days. If I get a hard-on thinking about the scenario then I know I have a winning idea. I start writing my scenario out and edit to fit parameters and guidelines to get published (no illegal shit!).

I never bother with an unformatted story.
Apart from the difficulty of reading it, experience has shown me that if the writer posts a wall of text, the chances are that it will be full of typos, bad grammar and deficient spelling. (Which puts me off my mission.)

 

I agree. it's like a huge run-on sentence otherwise. I do understand why it happens though. I have it formatted in word and then when posted on XNXX it loses it's paragraph spacing and I have to go through and manually do it. Some people don't bother and leave it. that extra effort helps the reader (and your rating)

 

Yes,using word...I double paragraph in word, so when I submit it has the spacing.

 

Hell, when I learned to format, it was also double space after a period. Still do it to this day, even if Word ‘corrects’ it.

 

I found that running it through Grammarly helps a lot

 

So I am thinking the Admin is getting stricter and stricter on anything even possibly underage. A couple years ago anything goes. Recently, basically you could allude to the age as young as long as you didn't say they were underage. But I just had a story rejected with no ages mentioned and a vague assumption that the characters could be younger than 18 -- but could also be 18. I further edited it and am waiting for publication, but it is making writing harder if you now have to imagine what the admin "might" think the ages are if you don't specifically say they are 18+.

 

@outofcontrol1 - you’re right. Years ago, the owners of the site realized if they wanted to stay in business that they were going to HAVE TO address underage access, images, and stories much better or the various global law enforcement agencies would shut them down.

If you want a story to be approved, be very vigilant in descriptions, dialogue, and wording. Even saying all characters are 18+ won’t help if the overall vibe indicates that’s not true.

 

Agree. While I am fine with blatant underage stories not being allowed, banning with no explanation seems over the top. Also, the themes offered like "Teen", "Young", etc. seem dumb if you aren't going to allow anything that the reader can even think might be under 18.

My story btw said nothing about ages of the participants. It did mention a younger sibling with a young age (that had nothing to do with the story). Perhaps they didn't read the whole thing and assumed that was the story.

 

Any mention of any character under 16 will automatically get the story deleted. They don’t have to be involved at all.

Keep in mind, the folks ‘moderating’ the stories DON’T read the whole thing. But if it implies underage or the vibe is underage, that’s all it takes.

 

My story was just published after some minor [unneeded IMHO] editing.
